Blasting Services

With our staff of experienced and military-trained blasters, led by a former US Navy Explosives Ordnance Disposal technician, Texas Explosives & Blasting Services offers blasting services for various customers needing beaver dam removal or other situations where explosive blasting is a suitable solution.

This can be blasting trees or tree stumps for agricultural purposes, blasting rocks that are otherwise unable to be removed, or getting rid of beaver dams. We can also assist in R&D for Oil & Gas and Defense companies. Or we you can bring us out just for the fun of blowing things up.

We work through out Texas serving Corpus Christi, Houston, Beaumont, San Antonio & Austin.

We do not offer any technical blasting, such as demolishing buildings in confined areas. There are many safety, technical and legal variables when it comes to being able to utilize explosives for a specific situation and location, so there is no one-size-fits-all answer..

While explosives are a valuable tool, they are inherently dangerous and at all times must be treated with respect, caution, and an obsessive focus on risk management. These factors often limit the situations where explosives are an appropriate solution.

Our base fee is $3,000. Milage is $1.34 per mile (GSA rate for both ways) from our facility near Three Rivers, TX. If the distance is over 100 miles, or is a multi-day event; an additional per-day fee based on the GSA Hotel and Meals & Incidentals per diem for the area for 2 people will be charged. If accommodation and/or food is provided, the per diem will be reduced by half. Any additional days on site will be an additional $2,500/day.

Our testing facility near Three Rivers is available for a standard day-rate of $2,500/day.

* Our standard detonators are electrically initiated. Other initiation options such as nonel/shock-tube and fuse detonators are available if circumstances require them. 

** Due to DOT Hazmat requirements on explosive materials, we use binary, liquid explosives, which combined with detonation cord detonate at approximately 21,000 fps. Our Dynamite equivalent Red-D-Prime detonates at approximately 18,500 fps, TNT at approximately 23,000fps, and C4 at approximately 26,500 fps. If you would like to use explosives such as dynamite, TNT, or C4, they are an option; but the cost is significantly higher, and the transportation fees are very expensive.
